Senior IT Platform Engineer – Microsoft Infrastructure

We are now looking for an experienced IT Platform Engineer with a strong background in Microsoft infrastructure and business-critical IT environments.

You will work hands-on with the operation, maintenance, and continuous development of IT platforms built around Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, IAM, and application-related services.

This is the right role for someone who enjoys taking ownership of stable, secure infrastructure while continuously finding ways to improve and automate it.

About the role

As an IT Platform Engineer, you will work across both day-to-day platform operations and longer-term technical improvements.

The role covers a broad Microsoft infrastructure landscape, where reliability, structure, documentation, and continuity are important parts of the work.

You will work with everything from upgrades and patching to monitoring, access management, certificates, backup, and automation - while helping evolve the platforms and the way they are managed.

What you’ll do

• Operate, maintain, and develop business-critical IT platforms

• Manage and improve Windows Server and Active Directory environments

• Work hands-on with Microsoft SQL Server and IIS

• Manage certificates and application-related infrastructure

• Perform upgrades, patching, monitoring, and technical maintenance

• Work with access management and IAM-related activities

• Support backup and continuity planning

• Document environments, solutions, and technical procedures

• Identify and drive technical improvements and automation opportunities

What we’re looking for

You have a strong technical background in Microsoft infrastructure and are comfortable taking responsibility for critical IT environments.

We believe you bring:

• Hands-on experience managing Windows Server

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server

• Experience working with Microsoft IIS

• Experience with certificate management

• Strong documentation skills and a structured way of working

• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities

• Professional fluency in both Swedish and English, spoken and written

Nice to have

It is a plus if you have experience with:

• Azure and Microsoft 365

• PowerShell and automation

• Application monitoring

• Sparx

• AI-related technologies or initiatives
